Rob Morrison

Rob Morrison - Chairman

Rob Morrison became Chair of Morrison & Co in 2012. He is Chairman of Kiwibank, where he was first appointed as an independent director in 2009 following his retirement as Chairman and CEO of Hong Kong based CLSA Asia Pacific Markets. Prior to joining CLSA, Rob was an Executive Vice President and Head of Equities at Bankers Trust Australia and Chief Executive Officer of Bankers Trust New Zealand. He is currently a council member of the Asian Corporate Governance Association, a director on the Asian advisory board of The Nature Conservancy – a private organisation working to protect ecologically important lands and water – and an advisory professor at Nankai University in Tianjin, China. Rob was also a member of the Copenhagen Climate Council, a global collaboration between business leaders, scientists and policy makers to work together for a successful new UN protocol to replace the 1997 Kyoto Protocol.

 

Lib Petagna

Lib Petagna - Executive Director

Lib is a director of Morrison & Co and member of the Audit & Compliance Committee. Lib has extensive transactional experience across multiple sectors and has led a number of acquisitions and divestments in the airport, energy and transport sectors in Australasia and Europe. He led Morrison & Co's entry into wholesale funds management and the agriculture sector. He is a director of NZ Bus and Infratil Property.

 

Duncan Saville

Duncan Saville - Non-Executive Director

Duncan Saville became a director of H.R.L. Morrison & Co in 1998 and has been a director of Infratil since its establishment in 1994.  He is an experienced non-executive director in the utility sector having been on the boards of water, airport and utility investment companies He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and of the Australian Institute of Directors.

 

Jonathan  McHardy

Jonathan McHardy - Independent Director

Jonathan McHardy became an independent director of Morrison & Co in 2014 and is the Chair of the Audit & Compliance Committee. Joanthan worked for Credit Suisse  from 1997 to March 2015 in both London and New York before returning to New Zealand. He now acts as a advisor to Credit Suisse and a  small number of family investment offices and is also on the board of a number of private New Zealand companies including Fisher Funds Management Limited.

 

Marko Bogoievski

Marko Bogoievski - CEO

Marko is CEO of both Morrison & Co and Infratil. He joined Morrison & Co in 2008 from Telecom New Zealand where he was Chief Financial Officer, responsible for corporate finance, M&A and group strategy. He is a director of Infratil, Trustpower and Morrison & Co. Marko has previously worked for a number of years in New York after earning his MBA from Harvard. He is a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants.

 

Anthony  Muh

Anthony Muh - CEO Asia

Anthony has extensive experience in both traditional and alternative investment management. His previous roles included Asia Pacific CEO of Alliance Trust Plc; Regional Head of Investment & CIO for Citigroup Global Asset Management and Solomon Brothers Asset Management Asia Pacific. He was a member of Citigroup Asset Management’s global asset management committee. Anthony is currently on the board of the Asia Corporate Governance Association and is Chariman of the Hong Kong Securities Institute. Anthony joined the Infratil board in 2007, he is now an alternate director for Duncan Saville. He is a director of Morrison & Co.

 

Kevin Baker

Kevin Baker - Chief Financial Officer

Kevin is CFO of Morrison & Co. and a member of Morrison & Co’s Investment Committee.  In addition to playing an active role in the assessment and financing of new investments, he is responsible for financial reporting, treasury and taxation, and aspects of governance for Morrison & Co investment mandates. Kevin  is Chairman of NZ Bus and a director of Metlifecare Limited and Morrison & Co. He served as CFO of Infratil for nine years until May 2015. Prior to joining Morrison & Co in 2006, Kevin had considerable energy sector experience as CFO of NGC Holdings Limited.

Jason  Boyes

Jason Boyes - Head of Legal

Jason is the Head of Legal for Morrison & Co and Infratil. He is responsible for group legal risk and compliance, assisting with transaction structuring and execution, and mandate and fund establishment.  Before joining Morrison & Co, he was a lawyer at Buddle Findlay for 13 years – seven as a partner, specialising in corporate, securities, and finance transactions. In that time he worked closely with Morrison & Co, including the investment in Shell's New Zealand downstream oil business (now Z Energy).
Jason also worked for two years at Slaughter and May in London, specialising in structured finance and offshore funds.
Jason is a director of Wellington Airport.

 

Tim Brown

Tim Brown - Capital Markets and Economic Regulation

Tim joined Morrison & Co in 1994 after 12 years at the National Bank of NZ including as Head of Capital Markets. At Morrison & Co he has been involved in financing, capital market transaction and economic regulation. Tim is chair of Wellington Airport and a director of NZ Bus.

 

Peter Coman

Peter Coman - Head of Property and Social Infrastructure

Peter is accountable for the development and performance of infrastructure property and social infrastructure opportunities within Morrison & Co/Infratil. Prior to joining Morrison & Co in 2008, he was Managing Director of Jones Lang LaSalle, New Zealand. Previous to this he worked in the UK for Prudential Real Estate Investors as a Director of their European private equity real estate fund, and for Lend Lease Property Capital as an Associate in their real estate private equity business. Peter is a director of Wellington Airport.

 

Steven Fitzgerald

Steven Fitzgerald - Head of Asset Management

Steven is Head of Asset Management with responsibility for the performance of private market investments made on behalf of Morrison & Co's clients. He is also responsible for origination across a number of sectors in which Morrison & Co is an experienced investor. He joined Morrison & Co in 2011 after 13 years of senior executive experience at Sydney Airport, Infratil Airports Europe and  Wellington International Airport. Steven is a director of Wellington Airport, Perth Airport, RetireAustralia and and Chairman of Perth Energy.

 

Mark Flesher

Mark Flesher - Corporate Development and International Investor Relations

Mark has been involved in the financial capital markets for over 20 years, both in New Zealand and overseas. His roles have included senior positions in the Fund Management Industry, Broking, Investment Banking and Corporate Finance. He  was General Manager Investor Relations at Telecom New Zealand.

 

Phillippa Harford

Phillippa Harford - CFO Infratil

Phillippa was appointed as CFO of Infratil in May 2015 having served as Deputy  CFO for two years prior to this.  Since 2009 she had been Group Tax Manager, responsible for the tax affairs of the Infratil Group including tax strategy and planning, compliance and reporting. Prior to joining Morrison & Co, Phillippa was Group Tax Manager at Vector Limited and also worked for several years providing tax advisory services for PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

 

Bruce Harker

Bruce Harker - Executive Director Energy Group

Dr Bruce Harker heads Morrison & Co's Energy Sector team and has an extensive background in the electricity industry including direct utility management roles, advisory and investment experience. Dr Harker was Chairman of Trustpower from 2007 until 31 December 2015. Prior to joining Morrison & Co in 1994, he held senior management roles within the Electricity Corporation of New Zealand.

 

Anthony  Muh

Anthony Muh - CEO Asia

Anthony has extensive experience in both traditional and alternative investment management. Paul Newfield

Paul Newfield - CIO Chief Investment Officer

Paul  is the Chief Investment Officer of H.R.L. Morrison & Co, with overall responsibility for analysing investment markets, directing origination activity and assessing the attractiveness of investments across listed and private markets.  Paul’s investment management experience includes both listed and unlisted assets across the transport, energy, essential services and social infrastructure sectors in Australasia, Asia and Europe.  Since joining Morrison & Co in 2008 he has led the development of new investment mandates for Morrison & Co, including the establishment of the Public Infrastructure Partners Fund (New Zealand’s first PPP fund), the Australian Social Infrastructure Partners Fund and Morrison & Co’s individually managed account relationships with sovereign wealth and superannuation funds. Paul is a director of the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre PPP.

Tim Skerman

Tim Skerman - Head of Listed Markets

Tim has extensive experience in alternative asset management as a specialist investor in infrastructure and utilities.  Tim has responsibility for portfolio management and investment across mandates as well as business development and deal origination for the Morrison & Co group.  Previously, he sourced and managed listed and private investments globally for a sector specialist fund manager in London where he had been based for 10 years.  Tim is located in our Sydney office.

 

William  Smales

William Smales - Head of Private Markets

William guides Morrison & Co’s private investment activity in New Zealand and Australia. He has extensive investment experience across a number of industry sectors and led Infratil’s investment into Metlifecare and RetireAustralia. Immediately prior to joining Morrison & Co, William spent seven years with The Carlyle Group where he was a principal in the firm investing in Europe and North America. He is a director of Metlifecare and RetireAustralia.

 

Michael  Brook

Michael Brook

Michael provides financial analysis and valuation support across Morrison & Co sectors and mandates. Prior to joining Morrison & Co Michael worked for a wealth management firm and in the Corporate Finance team at KPMG in Wellington. Michael is a CFA Charterholder, a Chartered Accountant and has a BCA/BA from Victoria University of Wellington.

 

Fiona  Cameron

Fiona Cameron - Infratil Group Treasurer

Fiona  is Financial Controller of  Morrison & Co responsible for corporate accounting, company and group financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting for Morrison & Co and its funds. She is Group Treasurer which includes funding, FX, IR management and bond issuances in the NZ Debt Capital Markets.  In addition Fiona oversees Morrison & Co’s risk and technology requirements. Fiona joined Morrison & Co in 2006 following roles in the energy and banking sectors. She has a BSC (Hons) / BCA and is a CA.

 

 

Amy Carroll

Amy Carroll

Amy joined Morrison & Co in 2011 and is responsible for the development, analysis and execution of investment opportunities within Morrison & Co and its portfolio businesses with a focus on listed markets. Amy is also part of the client management and fund raising team for new mandates. Prior to joining Morrison & Co Amy was a Senior Analyst at ACC Investments and an Equity Research Analyst at Citigroup. Amy has a BCA (Hons) from Victoria University of Wellington.

 

David  McKinnon

David McKinnon

David joined Morrison & Co in March 2013 and is based in our Sydney office. He provides financial analysis and valuation, transaction execution and post transaction asset management support for the Australia Social Infrastructure Partners Fund (ASIP). Prior to joining Morrison & Co. David worked as a consultant at the Quantium Group. David holds Masters’ degrees in Economics (Honours) and Finance.

 

Kellee Clark

Kellee Clark

Kellee acts as legal counsel. She provides advice on matters concerning Morrison & Co and Infratil, including in relation to transactions, mandates and general compliance.  Before coming to Morrison & Co in 2013, Kellee was a senior solicitor at Buddle Findlay in Wellington, practising primarily in the banking and finance, company, and commercial areas.
She has an LLB (Hons.) (first class) and BCom from Otago University.

 

Martin Cox

Martin Cox

Martin works on the development and analysis of new investment opportunities within Morrison & Co and portfolio businesses. Prior to joining Morrison & Co, Martin was a consultant with McKinsey & Company and held strategy roles at Telecom NZ. Martin holds an MBA (with distinction) from INSEAD and MCom (first class honours) from the University of Auckland.

 

Rachel Drew

Rachel Drew

Rachel works on the development and analysis of new investment opportunities within Morrison & Co and portfolio business. She has been with Morrison & Co since 2006 working primarily with NZ Bus with roles encompassing strategy, business planning, development, fleet and operations. Prior to joining Rachel worked in the strategy team at New Zealand Trade and Enterprise and as a consultant with the Boston Consulting Group. Rachel holds an MBA from the University of Cambridge and a MEng(Hons) from the University of Auckland.

 

Michael Faulkner

Michael Faulkner

Michael  is based in our Sydney office and works on the origination, analysis and execution of transactions within Morrison & Co, as well as the asset management of its portfolio businesses. He was previously an Associate Director within KPMG Corporate Finance, specialising in infrastructure, property and PPP advisory. He has also worked in the renewable energy, natural resources and infrastructure sectors on M&A and project finance.

 

 

Phillip Grayson

Phillip Grayson

Phillip is responsible for the financial and management accounting of the Hobsonville Schools PPP, the Australian Social Infrastructure Partners Fund (ASIP) and Morrison & Co Australia. Phillip joined Morrison & Co in 2012 having previously worked for KPMG. He has a Bachelor of Accounting and is a Chartered Accountant.

 

Priya  Grewal

Priya Grewal

Priya provides advice on transactions, mandates and general compliance. Priya joined in 2014 after six years’ experience working in the in-house legal team at Partners Group in London, Singapore and Guernsey. Priya holds an LLB(Hons.)(first class) and BCA (major in Accounting) from Victoria University.  She was admitted to the NZ bar in 2009 and to the bar in England and Wales in 2013.

 

Matt Harrison

Matt Harrison

Matt is responsible for the origination, development and execution of private investment activity across all of Morrison & Co sectors, mandates and geographies. Matt's listed and private markets investment experience inculdes airports, freight transport, downstream energy, waste, telecommunications and renewable energy assets.  Prior to joining Morrison & Co Matt worked in EY's Corporate Finance team. Matt has a BCom(Hons)/LLB from Auckland University.

Michael is based in the Morrison & Co Sydney office where he is responsible for originating and executing private market transactions in the Australian market. Prior to joining Morrison & Co Michael worked for five years as an investment professional at an Australian mid-market private equity firm where he gained experience in a broad range of sectors.

 

Robert  Huang

Robert Huang

Robert works on the development and analysis of new investment opportunities within Morrison & Co and portfolio businesses. Prior to joining Morrison & Co in late 2015, Robert worked in the investment banking team at Forsyth Barr covering a broad range of sectors including aged care, infrastructure and property. Robert holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance (with Honours) and a Bachelor of Property from the University of Auckland.

Stephen joined Morrison & Co in 2010, after working for an alternative asset management firm in London where he was based for seven years. At Morrison & Co Stephen has worked across a range of infrastructure sub-sectors, predominantly in energy and utilities and has a specialist interest in hydrocarbon markets. Stephen's responsibilities include portfolio management, investment across manadates and deal origination for Morrison & Co. Stephen has a MEng from Oxford University and is a CFA Charterholder. He is based in our Sydney office.

Toni Kerr joined Morrison & Co in 2016 as Manager Client Operations, Risk and Assurance. Toni brings with her a wealth of experience in risk, governance, treasury and international operations which has included roles as Head of Risk with BNP Paribas in Hong Kong and more recently at Kiwibank where she was Head of Treasury and International Operations.

 

Timothy  Koo

Timothy Koo

Prior to joining Morrison & Co Timothy worked for Olympus Capital, a private equity group in Hong Kong focussed on an environmental-focussed growth capital fund. His role encompasses modelling and valuation, project management, investment idea generation, document structuring and portfolio management for water and renewables investments. Prior to joining Olympus Capital, Timothy worked as an analyst in Macquarie Capital’s Hong Kong office.

 

Scott McCutcheon

Scott McCutcheon

Scott manages the tax affairs of Morrison & Co managed portfolios, including tax strategy and planning, compliance and reporting.  He has extensive experience in managing the tax aspects of acquisitions and divestments in the infrastructure sector (including due diligence and structuring) and in managing the tax aspects of PPP projects in Australia and New Zealand on behalf of investors. Prior to joining Morrison & Co, Scott was a Senior Manager at KPMG New Zealand and has also worked as an in-house European Tax Advisor for both Apple and Sony, based in London.

 

Ben May

Ben May

Ben joined Morrison & Co in July 2016 as a Portfolio Manager in the listed investments team based in our Sydney office.  Ben was previously a Portfolio Manager of Tailored Portfolio Strategies with RARE Infrastructure and a Senior Investment Analyst with a focus on transport infrastructure in developed and emerging markets. Prior to joining RARE in 2010, Ben was Head of Airports & Ports at CP2. He has also worked as an Equities Research Analyst for Credit Suisse covering Australian listed infrastructure and in business analyst roles for Sydney Airport and Transurban. Ben is a Chartered Accountant and has a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws from the Australian National University.

 

Mark  Mudie

Mark Mudie - Executive Director ASIP

Mark is Executive Director of the Australian Social Infrastructure Partners Fund, which achieved a first close in 2012 with support from institutional investors. The fund's investment mandate extends from participating in tender processes for greenfield projects, to pursuing secondary market opportunities for greenfield and brownfield assets. Mark is a Director of the New Royal Adelaide Hospital and South East Queensland Schools project vehicles. Prior to joining Morrison & Co, Mark was a Director in the Infrastructure and Utilities team at Macquarie Capital in London and previously with ABN Amro Infrastructure Capital Group in Australia.

 

Sarah Porter

Sarah Porter

Sarah’s role includes company financial and management accounting  for Morrison & Co and PIP fund, providing support for treasury operations and investment fund reporting. Sarah is a graduate of Victoria University with a BCA majoring in Accounting and Commercial Law and is a CA.

 

Alicia Quirke

Alicia Quirke

Alicia assists with management of the tax affairs of Morrison & Co managed portfolios, including tax strategy and planning, compliance and reporting. Prior to joining Morrison & Co, Alicia was a Senior Consultant at PwC.

 

Garath Roberts

Garath Roberts

Garath joined Morrison & Co in 2015 from EY where was a Senior Accountant in Assurance. His responsibilities include company and group financial and management reporting for Infratil. Garath is also involved in investment fund reporting, settlements and compliance reporting for other Morrison & Co mandates. Garath is a Chartered Accountant and has a Bachelor of Business Studies (Accounting) and a Diploma of Health Science from Massey University.

 

Matthew Ross

Matthew Ross

Matt joined Morrison & Co from KPMG in 2010 as Group Performance Manager for Infratil where his responsibilities include company and group management accounting and cash flow forecasting. Matt is also responsible for investment fund reporting, settlements and compliance.

 

Richard Song

Richard Song

Richard provides investment analysis, including market research, strategic analysis and valuation of existing and prospective listed investments. Prior to joining Morrison & Co, Richard was an analyst at J.P. Morgan covering financial institutions and government clients on a range of M&A transactions and financing assignments. Richard holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance, Honours) from the University of New South Wales.

 

Ben Tedder

Ben Tedder

As an investment analyst Ben is responsible for the generation and analysis of investment ideas with a primary focus on listed infrastructure opportunities. Prior to joining Morrison & Co, Ben worked for four years as a sell-side equity analyst  gaining experience across a range of sectors with a particular focus on healthcare. Ben holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from the University of Sydney, a Masters in Finance from UTS and is a CFA Charterholder.
